Some highlights of the month...
**A year old?! Crazy! Everyone tells you that time will fly once you have a baby, but it is impossible to understand until you experience it for yourself. Logan is becoming more aware, alert, social, and toddler-like. At our (almost 2 hour long!) doctor appointment, Logan weighed in at 21 pounds 4 ounces putting him around the 25th percentile and 30 and a quarter inches which is around the 70th percentile. Tall and skinny! He did NOT like the finger prick or the three shots. Poor little guy!
**Logan's "talking" is increasing, but it's still difficult to make out many words. He wants to say things to get his point across but it usually comes out as "eeeeehhhh" with a finger point.
**Logan is walking more and more while holding onto furniture, toys or fingers. He will still not even attempt walking on his own. He has stood up unassisted on his own a few times, which freaked us out, but then he goes right to his hands and knees.
**Logan is getting kind of funny with food....a perfect example of why I think he's becoming more "toddler-like." He is becoming very selective with what he eats, and it varies from day to day. For example, last night all he wanted to eat from our dinner were the green beans. He wanted nothing to do with the noodles. Today, he wouldn't touch a green bean, but enjoyed frozen peas. Weird. He did like his ice cream at the end of his birthday dinner!
**Logan has also started whole milk during the day. For some reason, he loves it when he's at daycare but is not very interested in it at home. My mom said that I never wanted anything to do with plain milk. Hopefully he's not following in my footsteps!
**It was cute to see Logan trick or treat. He seemed to get the concept as he was pointing at the different houses. He enjoyed reaching his hand into the bowls and pulling something out, all though Mama didn't always like his candy selection. Choose the peanut butter cups, Logan ;) More on Halloween to come...
**Logan continues to be a great sleeper. In fact, he really likes going down for naps. When I put him in his crib to zip him up in his sleep sack, he giggles like crazy. Then, he grabs his blanky and I sing him a song before putting him down to bed.
**Logan's favorite toys continue to be balls. He loves throwing them and then crawling after them. He also likes walking and pushing around his firetruck. While he walked around the house, he makes a vroooom sound :)
**We cannot wait to see what Logan will do next!
