16 months

This update is a week late, but time just goes by too quickly!

Some updates...

*Logan is still doing well at "school." His teachers say that he is talking more and more, though he continues to be very chill. They said it makes them giggle when Logan gets loud and hyper. They also commented on how Logan knows when he needs a break. He will totter off to the reading corner, grab a book, and lay down to read for a few minutes. Then, he will get back up and join back in on the fun. How grown up!

*We have been going to Logan's Gymboree class for over a month now. He likes the class although we get an occasional "no, no, no" when we ask if he wants to do one of the activities. He enjoys Open Gym time even more than the class. He likes the freedom of running around, doing what he wants, and chasing around his friend Zachary. Next weekend, we are moving up to the next level in Gymboree class, so we'll see how it goes.

*I would describe Logan as socially cautious. He is fine with places and situations that are very familiar to him, but when brought someplace new, he needs time to adjust. This past weekend, Logan had a playdate with my bf's niece Lexi. He was shy at first but after dinner, the two of them were running around giggling like lunatics. Yesterday, Logan was hesitant at his friend Lily's birthday party at Little Monkey Bizness. He loved looking around at all the kids but wasn't sure he wanted to participate. Eventually he was running around, and then he was fully comfortable by the time we ate. And, he ate a ton!

*Speaking of eating, Logan is becoming a little less picky...knock on wood! He has been eating more and more of what Eric and I are having for dinner. He still loves his fruit, and he will often eat that first. His current favorites include: homemade soups, liver pate(eww!), beans, crackers with hummus, bananas, pizza, veggie straws, and anything sweet. He must take after his mama!

*Logan currently is OBSESSED with his Sesame Street friends. He talks about the all the time and likes to move them to different places around the house: in the shopping cart, in his green chair, on top of Mater, etc. He wants to eat with them, sit with them and play Doh Doh with them. He also loves Mickey Mouse, but calls him "Hot Dog" thanks to the show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

*Logan continues to say new words every single day. Sometimes Eric and I will look at each other and ask: did he really just say that?! I will do a separate post soon with Logan's dictionary :) His sign language is really developing as well. He says "ongry" and does the sign for hungry about 20 times throughout the day. Kid loves to eat! He also signs and says more, up, milk, and please. We're working on help and thank you.
