Surprise!
On Thursday, we had a surprise birthday party for my nephew Joshua. I recommend that all parents throw their child a surprise party at some point when they are young. It was so cute seeing his reaction. First of all, my brother picked Josh up from daycare and he fell asleep during the car ride. When they arrived at the pizza place, Josh woke up crabby and insisted that he wanted to eat someplace else. After Tony told him no, Josh grumpily walked into the door with his eyes half open. Little did he know he would be faced with 30 something people screaming surprise!! He didn't know how to react at first as he gazed at all the familiar faces flooding the room. He then yelled out some random first grade gibberish and gave a big smile.
Logan was a great boy the entire evening and everyone was amazed at how much he has grown since the holidays...

We were all very glad that my dad was able to be in attendance. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday. He kept telling everyone that if he wasn't out by the party, he was throwing on his Levis and making an escape. He was proudly sporting the button that came on a Valentine's Day card from my mom.
The pizza was delicious. Logan agreed as he licked it off Mommy's fingers...
We even had pizza cakes thanks to my sister-in-law Megan. She grated white chocolate on top for cheese and made fruit roll-up pepperoni. She is so creative!
A great time was had by all, but it was difficult waking up for work on Friday!
