Besties

Logan has always been fond of Rookie, but lately it's becoming more of an obsession. Logan giggles and points when Rookie first runs into his room in the morning, he chases him all over the house, and he will do just about anything to get his loyal pet's attention.
Logan's new favorite thing to do isopen up the storage closet and point until we allow him to give Rookie a treat. He likes to hold the treat in his hand and watch Rookie beg for it. I think Logan enjoys having Rookie's undivided attention, while Rookie appreciates the extra treats. Logan does get very angry when we have to close the closet and tell him that Rookie is full.
Logan also likes playing fetch with Rookie. He laughs like crazy as he throws Rookie various toys. I always get nervous that Rookie will snap at Logan's fingers accidentally, but it is like Rookie knows to be extra cautious.
The dog dishes are another one of Logan's favorites. He has only spilled all the water a handful of times (ugh!), but he really enjoys taking out pieces of Rookie's food to try and entice him.
Rookie watches out for Logan. If Logan is upset, Rookie will make sure that someone is going to help him. When Logan is happy, Rookie will run around wagging his little tail.
Sometimes I will ask Logan, "do you want to take a nap in Kiki's bed?" He will walk right on over, plop himself down, and giggle.
It's good to teach your children to share, and Logan loves to share with his brother Rookie. This, however, isn't always a good thing. Logan will give Rookie his food, his toys, his socks, and even his beloved blanky. We try to teach Rookie that all those things are Logan's, but it's not very easy when Logan is waving them in his face.
Logan loves running up to Rookie to pat him. This usually results in incessant Rookie licks.
Sometimes the two of them get worn out, which doesn't occur too often...
