What? It's picture time...
**What a difference a month has made! Logan is now very, very mobile. He crawls everywhere he needs to go, and quickly.
**Logan pulls himself up on just about anything. He likes the view of the world from standing up. He will pull himself up on tables, chairs, walls, toys, and his favorite: mom's legs. He doesn't stand on his tippy toes as often anymore, and he is beginning to realize that he can move around by lifting up his legs while standing.
**On the talking front, no real words yet other than the babbling of mamama, dadada, bababa, googoogoo, etc. He will also repeat the word "hi." He is getting noisier though, so I'm sure more words are coming soon.
**Logan still likes to read. He loves turning the pages of his board books and knows his favorites. He will crawl over to his bookshelf and pull out the books he wants to read. Smart kid!
**Logan has taken up a new found love of swimming. Until this point, Logan has been very subdued while in the pool, sucking his thumb and clinging on to mommy. Recently, he likes to splash around and will squeal with delight. One of my good friends even convinced me to dunk him under water. I was nervous, but he didn't mind it one bit. How brave!
**Over the summer, Logan has settled into a napping routine. He goes down for his morning nap around 9 and it usually lasts more than 2 hours. He takes his second nap around 2, and it lasts an hour or two.
**Logan continues to take after his parents...he loves food. His breakfast usually consists of oatmeal with some sort of fruit: usually banana, apple, or pear and some cheerios. His lunch varies: homemade pasta salad, chicken noodle soup with veggies, yogurt mixed with fruit, cottage cheese mixed with a fruit or vegetable. His dinner varies as well as he has been eating a lot of what we're eating: chicken, burger, ribs, pasta, and lots of veggies and fruits. Some of his new favorites include sweet potato fries and blueberries. Logan is much happier picking up the food himself than being spoon-fed.
**No stats to report yet. Logan's 9 month appointment is next Tuesday. We did move Logan to his big boy carseat a couple weeks ago, because I'm sure he has almost surpassed the height requirement for the carrier.
**And finally, Logan continues to have a very happy disposition. He rarely cries and spends a great deal of the day with a huge smile on his face. He can certainly brighten up anyone's day :)
